Job Title: Finance Officer
Employer: Uganda Child Rights NGO Network
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Support Annual, quarterly and project budgeting processes
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of prime entry and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
•Process payments and disbursement in compliance with established procedures and internal control processes.
•Undertake banking activities and operations
•Manage the petty cash system
•Ensure regular and periodic reconciliation of all accounts
•Produce internal financial management reports including; cash flow statements, income and expenditure statements and balance sheets.
•Monitor and report on the financial performance and status of projects budget lines.
•Monitor and truck funding disbursements from development partners
•Produce timely and accurate reports for development partners based on pre-agreed formats
•Support the internal and external audit processes
•Support the Finance and Administration manger in building the capacity of staff and partners in financial management
•Under take any other function as may be delegated by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, BBA specializing in accounting.
•Professional qualifications in accounting such as ACCA, CPA are highly desirable.
•At least three years in an accounting position in a busy Non-Governmental Organization
•Experience in managing and accounting for donor funds is highly desirable
•Working knowledge of Quick-books
