Key functions:
•Participating in the development and review of policies, plans, strategies, guidelines and standards in eMTCT and monitoring the implementation
•Participating in planning and budgeting for eMTCT activities
•Providing technical support to a broad portfolio of implementation partners, districts and facilities who provide eMTCT services
•Supporting the establishment of public private partnership and collaborative linkages between the local governments, non-government organizations and communities
•Supporting and participating in eMTCT research activities
•Preparing and submitting periodic performance reports to the supervisor
Qualifications:
•Must possess a MBChB degree or an equivalent from a recognized university
•Must possess a masters degree in medicine or pediatrics or public health or epidemiology
•Possession of a post graduate qualification in management project planning and management
Experience:
•Must have at least three years relevant working experience implementing HIV and AIDS programs at national or regional levels
Competences:
•Well versed with current national and global eMTCT policies and practices
•Demonstrable knowledge and skills in implementing HIV and AIDS programs
•A team player with good interpersonal, networking and communication skills
•Familiarity with commonly used computer packages e.g. Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint and internet
