Job Title: Supply Chain Management Advisor

Key Functions:
•Coordinating and supporting the MOH in the national quantification efforts to link stock outs in commodities, supplies, ARVS in the Republic of Uganda
•Develop national computerized database, overseeing the ordering and packaging process, level and provide weekly reports to decision makers
•Tracking the movements of goods into the country and through depots ready for dispatch and arrival of shipments
•Monitoring supply chain performance and make sure that targets are met, recommends corrective actions where necessary
•Identifying blockages in the supply chain system and make recommendations to decision makers for the address and reduce delays in the system
•Developing and coordinating trainings to health workers that are directly involved in SCM for logistic management and providing technical support to broad portfolio of implementing partner
Qualifications:
•Must possess degree in Pharmacy
•Must possess a degree in logistics and supply chain management
•Being a member of the chartered institute of purchasing and supply is an added advantage
•Must have at least ten years relevant experience as a pharmacist five years of which should be managing logistics of AIDS supplies
•Must have an extensive experience in a public health system, with excellent organizational and analytical skills
•Good management and communication skills both oral and written
•Good interpersonal relationships
•Team work building
Competencies:
•Well versed with current national and global for HIV/AIDS policies and practices
•Demonstrated leadership and supervision, team work, net working, communication and writing skills
•Familiarity with commonly used computer packages
•Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and understanding of the strategic direction of MOH and of PEPFAR programs
