Duties and Role:

The  SME  Advisor  will be  an  integral  member  of the  team  supporting  the implementation  of the  ESME  program  and shall  report  to the  ESME  Program  Manager .
The post holder will  coordinate  the selection of  businesses  to work  with  under  the program  in Uganda and  the  support  that  they  subsequently  receive  including  technical and business  advisory  , product  testing and development  of  new supply chains  and market  outlets.
The  role will  also  involve  coordinating  with  other  organizations  that  are  offering  support  services  to  stove  business  particularly  those under other  World  Bank  funded projects , including  the Private  Sector  Foundation  Uganda  and the  Uganda  National  Alliance on Clean  Cooking.

Experience:

Minimum  three  years  experience  in a  relevant  area such  as business, logistics  or market  development  with  degree  level  education.
Proven  experience  in consulting  SMEs on  fast moving  consumer goods, supply chain  and distribution , as well as  marketing .
Experience  with business  models  for delivery  of services  to the  Base of the  Pyramid  (BOP) markets .
A good communicator with advanced  oral  and written  skills.
A can-do  and collaborative  mindset-comfortable  with  the  ambiguities  and  demands  of a  rapidly  evolving  environment.
