The Objective of the Feasibility Study:
The feasibility study aims to assess the viability of implementing a housing microfinance initiative amongst the low income earners in urban slums of Kampala City
Requirement:
- The Consultant should have proven qualifications and experience in conducting feasibility studies in the housing finance/microfinance market and/or slum upgrading and producing quality reports, have strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and clients. Specifically, the Consultant will demonstrate:
- University or higher degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Finance, Urban Development or related fields.
- At least ten years of professional experience in conducting feasibility studies or market research.
- Proven experience in applying quantitative and qualitative research and analysis methods Experience in urban development or slum upgrading.
- Experience in housing finance, microfinance or banking.
- Experience in coordinating collaboration of stakeholders, consultants and other parties. Proven ability in data collection, analysis and in writing high quality and practical reports.
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of local contexts;
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
