Job Title: Information Technology Technician

The position located at Head Office will report to Senior Information Technology Support Officer. The primary purpose is to install, maintain, issue and repair all IT infrastructure and equipment of the organization according to the TIA/EIA, IEE AND Industry standards.
Key Result Areas:
• Install, configure and maintain UETCL LAN and WAN infrastructure according to the Company IT strategy and TIA standards.
• Test, repair, carry out routine checks and maintenance schedules of IT equipment in the organization according to manufacture’s recommendations and IEE standards.
• File maintenance, consumable and breakdown records and write periodic reports as per the IT policy.
• Provide help desk support to IT hardware users in order to maximize computer resource utilization as required by the ICT policy.
• Train staff in use of existing and new IT hardware infrastructure.
And to carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
The Person:
The desired persons should have the following essential requirements:
• Ordinary Diploma in Electrical/Electronics / Computer Engineering or equivalent professional qualifications from a recognised technical institute.
• Age: Not above 40 years
• Experience in maintenance of IT hardware systems such as Printers, Computers, Laptops, Photocopiers, LAN and WAN
• Must be computer literate.
• Must possess a valid driving permit.
• Must be able to withstand stressful work situations and have willingness to work long hours outside the normal hours.
• A person of integrity, highly motivated, pro-active and committed team player.
Terms of Employment And Remuneration
For positions mentioned above:
• Appointments are on five (5) year contracts renewable based on performance.
