Role summary:
The growth of PEAS has necessitated the launch of regional hubs to respond to the increasing needs of the schools network. The Regional Program Manager role will provide oversight to the works of PEAS, ensuring each school makes rapid and sustained progress in improving access, quality and sustainability. The Regional Program Manager plays a central role in the development and coordination of all PEAS programmatic and operational activities within a cluster. They will work collaboratively with heads of department, while providing oversight on activities that will enhance education quality and child protection through support and supervision in PEAS schools. Key areas of intervention include: Education quality management, community engagement, child protection and gender mainstreaming, monitoring and evaluation, Human Resource and Finance Management, Construction and logistics and Report writing. The Regional Progammes Manager will also serve as a liaison officer for PEAS, and establish and maintain partnerships to advance PEAS’ mission in the region. RPMs will be judged on their ability to set and hit ambitious targets for increased access, sustainability and quality education across the schools in their region (full job description for the role can be obtained from PEAS website: www.peas.org.uk)

Requirement:
Experience and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Management or Social sciences. Master's degree or equivalent is an added advantage. Skills, knowledge and personal attributes:
  • Management experience in education or related program delivery
  • Experience and knowledge of development programming, monitoring, evaluation and learning.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams and working in geographically challenging areas.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to think strategically
  • Awareness of gender issues and willingness to implement gender equity policies.
  • Capacity to design and monitor the operational budgets.
  • Experience representing an organization with partners, government agencies, private sector, and donors at senior level.
  • Broad knowledge of the region's political and socio-economic reality and knowledge of the key stakeholders in the development sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel within the region up to 40% of the time
