Job Description:
UN Women in partinership with the Ministry of Gender , Labour and Social Development is recruiting suitable applicants for the vacant post above.
Job Requirements:
Objectives
• Determine the extent to which affirmative action approaches and strategic interventions have been implemented .
• Identify areas in which affirmative action strategies for empowerment of women will need to be deepened , up scaled or dropped.
• Make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of affirmative action approaches in promoting gender equality in Uganda .
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Development Studies or equivalent (Gender and Women Studies an added advantage)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in research and analytical work in the field of gender and development
• Demonstrated knowledge of programming issues within the field of gender and Women Empowerment .
• Knowledge of the Ugandan Affirmative Action Policies
• Strong reporting skills both verbal and written .
