The Organization
CAF Uganda (CAF U) is registered as a local organization in Uganda, dedicated to limiting suffering of HIV-impacted children and families. It provides comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment, care, and support and prevention services through effective programming, integration, decentralization, strategic partnerships/collaboration and referral linkages. CAF U is committed to a cost-effective, innovative and sustainable model for the scale up of national HIV programs, Health Systems Strengthening and harmonization with Ministry Of Health guidelines and the Government of Uganda policy of Public Private Partnerships for Health.
CAF U is supporting four HIV treatment sites providing more than 24,000 clients with services including: HCT, ART and care, TB diagnosis and treatment, PWP, OI management, BCC, OVC care and support, HMIS, nutrition and food security, community and adherence outreach, and HSS. The sites also provide inoculations for the surrounding community; FP services; cervical cancer, diabetes and hypertension screening and treatment. The HIV treatment sites are Family Hope Centre Kampala (FHCK) and Family Hope Centre Jinja (FHCJ), Kabwohe Clinical Research Centre (KCRC), Alive Medical Services, Namugongo Fund for Special Children, Nurture Africa, and Bushenyi Medical Centre (BMC).
CAF Uganda is in the process of filling the following positions available at the CAF Uganda office and treatment sites:
Medical officers (2- Kampala & Jinja); reports to the clinic head; will provide day today clinic care to CAF Uganda clients, review the medical needs of patients, monitoring delivery of patient services, planning for space allocation, acting as liaison with patients, and hospitals. Work closely with the Heads of Departments and other clinical specialists, to put in place processes which ensure seamless and smooth delivery of care to our patients.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in medicine and Surgery from a recognized University/ Institution must have experience in the management of and/or advanced training in HIV/ AIDS, with at least 3 years experience in clinical practice, is registered with the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
