Cheshire Services Uganda (CSU) is a local nongovernmental organization working in the field of disability arid development CSU is a member of the Leonard Cheshire Disability Global Alliance, a membership of over 55 countries. CSU works with and for Persons with Disabilities through four thematic programme areas of Livelihood, Inclusive Education, Advocacy and campaign and Health and rehabilitation. Seeking to recruit a Project Assistant (Documentation)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop project related case studies
•Support development of organisation and project IEC materials in conformity with CSU and donor guidelines.
•Regular update of organisation website
•Participate in the production and preparation of project related communication materials, fact sheets and reports;
•Ensure that the Education Resource Centre is well managed and there are reading materials Support development of project databases
•Work with other staff to maintain project databases
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•The applicant should possess a degree in Library and Information Science, Communication, Information Technology or related field.
•Two years of experience in a related field.
•Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written English.
•A good knowledge of working with online databases.
•Knowledge and ability to develop a database for electronic documentation.
•A highly-developed sense of initiative and responsibility, coupled with dynamism, organizational skills, logic and flexibility.
•Language requirements: Knowledge of English and the local language,
•Other Personal Competencies: Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, good problem solving, planning and organizing, and customer care skills.
•Additionally, all prospective employees should demonstrate the ability to work in a team, independently with minimum supervision as well as ability to work with Persons with Disabilities.
