Terre des Hommes Netherlands supports services for children in need through partner organisations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Programme Direction: Improved quality of Terre des Hommes Netherlands reports, planning and strategizing.
2. Programme results: Improved quality of programmes consisting of project partner projects and appropriate services to beneficiaries.
3. Project Funding: Improved cohesion between project implementation and budgets and timely expenditure of the budgets on programmes.
4. Capacity building of partners: Improved quality of projects and assistance to beneficiaries and sufficient quality information to the donors.
5. Representation, networking and fundraising: Ensure good relationships with all kind of funding related organisations and institutions, good fundraising results and efficient information supply to the Marketing& communication department and to donors.
6. HR & leadership.
7. Finance and administration of the country office.
8. Legal affairs.
9. Safety and security.
10. Quality management, knowledge management and efficiency.
11. Be the National focal point child safeguarding.
12. Advice for the programme manager and cooperation with other country managers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
•All candidates should hold a University level in sociology, development studies, child rights, health or education.
•Five years experience in a similar position, in development cooperation.
•A minimum of three years of management experience.
•Experience in Child Rights based programming and financial management.
•Skilled in report writing, computer literacy skills and fluency in English.
•Communication skills, team spirit and leadership qualities.
•Knowledge of programme management and the political, religious and social structures of the respective developing country/ region and the relevant foreign languages.
