Key Functions
•Supporting the MOH efforts in development of the NPHI strategy, road map and lead implementation plan
•Working with MOH senior management to coordinate the installation of both the NPHI hard and soft ware
•Coordinate the development and submission of monthly reports on the progress made
•Leading the annual reviews that will feed into the NPHI road map and address the ensuring bottlenecks
•Monitoring and evaluation of program implementation
•Oversee the development of periodic reports and submission to relevant authorities
Qualities:
•Must possess a medical degree from recognized University
•Must possess masters degree in International Health, public health, business administration, Health system management, health policy from recognized University
•Possession of a post graduate qualification in management, project planning and management would be an added advantage
•Possession of a fellowship in HIV/AIDS is an added advantage
•Experience of 10 years managing complex public health programs
Competencies:
•Well versed with the Uganda’s Health Sector Strategic Investment Plan, National health policy, current National HIV strategic plans, national prevention plan and global for HIV trends, policies and practices
•Coordination, communication, partnership skills
•Demonstrated leadership and supervision, team work, net working, communication and writing skills
•Familiarity with commonly used computer package e.g. Microsoft word, excel power point
