Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Key functions:
•Supporting the development and implementation of M$E system including identifying key indicators and designing data collection tools
•Participating in organizing regular sharing of M$E findings with program staff, implementing partners and other stakeholders
•Training national and district stakeholders to effectively use data collection and reporting tools
•Supporting analysis, review and compilation of progress reports
•Participate in design and implementation of baseline and end-line surveys
•Participating in data quality assessment for data quality assurance
Qualifications:
•Must possess a MBChB degree from a recognized university
•Possession of a master’s degree in epidemiology, public health or other relevant field would be an added advantage
Experience:
•At least three years relevant working experience at national level or regional level in monitoring and evaluation of health related programs
Competence:
•Thorough knowledge and understanding of the national HIV and AIDS programme
•A team player with excellent communication and writing skills
•Thorough understanding of monitoring and evaluation techniques
•Familiarity with statistical data analysis packages such Epinto
•Understanding of qualitative data collection and analysis techniques
•Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and understanding of the strategic direction of MoH and of PEPFAR programmes
