Job Description:

Main duties and Responsibilities

•Teach  Mass Communication students
•Demonstrate the capacity to teach at least two conceptual courses in the field of Mass Communication;
•Set and mark examinations, tests and coursework;
•Supervise student projects, dissertations, research and internship;
•Counsel students;
•Prepare lessons for delivery;
•Develop training materials/manuals;
•Participate in meetings, on committees and in such other activities as pertain to the development and smooth running of the Department of Mass Communication.

Preferred Skills:
Qualifications and experience

•A Masters' Degree in Journalism, Communication, Mass Communication OR Media Studies from a recognized institution of higher learning
•Degree in Journalism, Communication, Mass Communication, or Media Studies from a recognized institution of higher learning.
•Must have taught at University level for at least two (2) years;
•Mature Christian commitment;
•Demonstrates understanding of the workings of the sector and its relationship with other sectors;
•Excellent writing skills, editing and communication skills.
•Photojournalism and evidence of research or publication will be an added advantage
•Evidence of professional experience in the field of Journalism/Communication/Mass Communication/ Media Studies will be an added advantage.
