About CEDOVIP:
CEDOVIP is a local NGO that works to prevent violence against women in Uganda. We work with women, men, government institutions, policy makers, civil society and the media.
Job Summary: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for book keeping activities and conducting a wide variety of accounting responsibilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Offer support staff in preparing financial requests and accountabilities as required
Document and posting all financial
Maintain a well organized electronic and manual filing system
Reconcile the purchase ledger to general ledger
Manage petty cash transactions
Assist in the preparation of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Produce monthly financial statements of funds requested and spent
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
The assistant should possess a first degree in the relevant finance and accounts qualifications
A minimum of three (3) years work experience in this position
Proficient in quick books accounting package (a must)
Financial acumen
